OUR MARES

JANDTS LADY IN RED

Lady is one of our best producing mares at Longman Miniatures.  She is the dam of Longman's Cloud of Independence and Longman's Arrow's Heart Throb, Longmans' Ranger Blue Ripley and Longman's Shadow Sydney .  Lady is the dam of the AMHR National Champion All Star Produce of Dam team for the year 2000.  We have retained several of her foals here for our breeding program and now Lady will be the grand old dam of the farm - if she chooses to have another baby, great.  If not, we are content knowing that she is one of our foundation mares.
 

SONNYS JEWELS SOS

Jewels has turned out to be our diamond in the rough.  She was found in a pasture with other weanlings, and this mare stood out with her "Look".  We just had to have her and brought her home with us.  We then added her to our show string where she garnered numerous local championships along with national titles.  We retired her at the top of her game to join our broodmare band, where with her huge doe eyes and superb conformation she will be in her new role as a champion producer.

ROWBUCK RAMSEY

Ramsey is definately one of our favorite mares.  She is an AMHR Reserve National Champion and is a member of the AMHR Hall of Fame.  She carries the bloodlines of Rowdy, Buckeroo, Lazy N Boogerman and Johnston Vanilla, and will take that pedigree to new heights producing amazing foals with great futures.  We have been able to trace her pedigree back 20 generations.  Watch for her foals soon to be joining our show string.

THISTLE RIDGE BP MS MARSHA

Marsha has the floating animated trot of many of today’s top Modern ponies, although she is miniature in size.  She is ASPC registered and soon to be AMHR.  Marsha has one of the longest necks and biggest hips of any horse I have ever seen.  Marsha was one of the original mares selected to be bred to Jazz, we were fortunate enough to purchase this fantastic mare from the same farm we purchased Jazz.  The original crosses were knock-outs.  Now, they're back!

LONGMANS SHADOW SYDNEY

Sydney was one of our show girls for the past two years, then we retired her to the broodmare band.  Sydney has obtained multiple wins in both open and youth classes.   Sydney will be the first mare bred to Afyre for 2009.  This will combine a triple bred Andy mare on the Monarch line.  Get in line…..this baby could be the “new” look of Longman Miniatures.

LOTSA FUN FIESTAS ABITA COLOR

Bitta is definately my mothers "baby".  She was a Mothers Day present that each year has become more and more spoiled.  She stands a whopping 28" tall but has a heart and attitude three times that size.   She has the pedigree fit for the "queen bee" that she is, including Boones Little Andy, Dell Tera, Stouts, and Summers Mucho Macho.  Bitta will always be a fixture in our pastures.  She is bred to Fyre for 2009

HRE MIDNIGHT LADY

The black mare!  We had the pleasure of showing Lady for two of our friends.  At the end of the show season, they asked us if we would consider adding Lady to our breeding line-up.  She is a welcome addition and has become a successful producing mare.  Lady is the first mare to have a "Legacy" baby and we weren't disappointed.
 

JANDTS PETITE N PRETTY

Petite is the dam of our National Champion All-Star, Longman’s Shadow Spencer.  Petite will be another of our Andy bred mares that will be bred to Afyre for 2009.  We’ve seen that Petite can hold her own – producing champions when bred to different stallions.  Now we’ll see what she can do bred to another amazing stallion

LONGMANS RANGER BLUE RIPLEY

Sired by Cloverdown's Ranger Blue (a Roan Ranger son) and out of Jandt's Lady in Red.  This filly has a powerful pedigree and a ton of attitude.  She was a wonderful addition to our show string and is now taking her dams place on our breeding line.  She is bred to Axel for 2009.  Years of planning have gone into this long-awaited baby.
 

LONGMANS RANGER BLUE RASHMI

Sired by National Champion Cloverdown's Ranger Blue (A Roan Ranger son) and our Reserve National Champion mare, ROWBUCK Ramsey.  We feel she is nice enough to join our broodmare band and selected her as one of the only mares that will be bred to Jandt's Our Champion (Boone's Little Andy son) for 2009.
 

PLATTES DECEPTION PERFECTED

Sired by RoadRunner Cody Copy and out of Hopwoods Silver Peace Rose, we added this beautiful mare to compliment Jazz.  Deception is ASPC/AMHR pending.  We are very thankful to Platte Ridge Farm for allowing us to have this wonderful mare.
 

MKK KANKAKEE KOLOR

KiKi is a long-necked, Foundation Shetland mare that measures 36", and is also AMHR. She is a black/white pinto, out of a Kid Lee bred stallion that is himself only 38" tall.  Kiki can trot level and is extremely upheaded.  We looked at several pony lines when selecting our mares, Kid Lee kept coming back into the forefront.  KiKi is bred to Jazz for 2009.
 

MKK CHINA DOLL

Another great mare from MKK farms! She is sired by the Kid Lee bred stallion (AMHR/ASPC) and out of a Captains' Showman daughter.  China Doll was an easy choice when we went back shopping.  She has a baby-doll face and a superb body.  Add the fact that she DEMANDS attention and you will see why.  She will be showing in 2008 and is ASPC/AMHR registered.
 

MICHIGANS SHIRLEY T

WOW!  I never thought I'd have the opportunity to have a mare like this.  Shirley comes to us from L & K Miniatures in Virginia where she was chosen to be one of their show mares and breeding prospects.  Shirley is sired by Michigan's Uninformed Voter (an AMHR National Champion) and out of a Midget Mike daughter.   AMHR/ASPC

LONGMANS CHAMP CADENCE

Cadence is another of our triple bred Andy mares who will be added to our Monarch/Andy program in the future if she's still here.  We reluctantly have decided to offer one of these Lady in Red daughters for sale, so she's available for a limited time.  $2500
 

LONGMANS LEGACY MADISON

The legacy at Longman Miniatures begins with a bang.  Madison is a phenomenal little bay filly with that "look at me" attitude.  This filly will be added to our miniature Shetland breeding program.  She is Shetland bred and 31" tall.  Look out, this is the future of the industry. 

 

LONGMANS CHAMP CICILY

Want personality? This filly is by our Boones Little Andy son and out of our Reserve National Champion show mare Rowbuck Ramsey.  Her pedigree contains Boones Little Andy, Buckeroo, Rowdy, Boogerman and Gold Melody Boy all within the first 5 generations. She is AMHR registered and will mature in the 34" height range.
